THE KREST STORY
The KREST House is marching towards becoming a great storytelling empire, through sharing the most bold, vivid, and inspiring stories the world will ever read. We are confident in this mission, because we believe we are presently living out one of the most inspiring stories that will ever be told about a business in the future.
Our story starts with our founder, Keli H, who always knew she wanted to be writer, growing up. But, like many artists, she was told that creative talents are not real careers – they’re hobbies. So she did the conventional thing instead, and became a medical doctor. After working in hospitals for several years, she finally mustered up the courage to quit and follow her love of books.
And so, KREST Publishers Pty Ltd was born by her rallying a small set of shareholders who believed that stories are more than just pieces of entertainment – they have the ability to change what we believe is possible in the world.
In the 5 years that the company has existed, the shareholding team has been able to lead KREST to 15 book award nominations – including Best Publishing Company in SA, alongside international publishing conglomerates that have existed for eons. The company has also grown to include not just book publishing, but other storytelling divisions too: magazine publishing, creative writing masterclasses, bespoke literary merchandise.
Today, we are called the all-encompassing KREST House.
The KREST House was just the first chapter of the team’s magical story – the inciting incident that brought them all together. The shareholding team behind KREST has gone on to announce the development of Revolution, a luxury automotive lifestyle centre, including a race track, to the project value of an estimated R860 million.
The KREST House and Revolution – two distinctly visionary ventures – represent the twin expressions of modern prestige: imagination and indulgence.
