Aspiring authors across the KZN North Coast are invited to attend this month’s Ballito Writers Club meeting, which will focus on book publishing. The morning will be an exploration of different publishing modalities in South Africa, and aims to help aspiring authors make an informed decision.

The meeting takes place on Thursday 29 May at 10:30am, at the Ballito Public Library. All are welcome to attend. Light refreshments will be served.

The line up of guest speakers includes Gary Green, Paul Zunckel, and Keli H. Gary Green is a non-fiction author who has self-published multiple books. He will explore the self-publishing process and give an honest insight to anyone looking to go down this route. Paul Zunckel is a traditionally published author whose book, Secrets and Lies, was nominated for an award in 2021. He will share the experience of working with a publisher and what that entails. Keli H is the founder of The KREST House, an award-winning publishing company based on the North Coast, and an author herself. She will share, from a publisher point of view, what both self and traditional publishing options look like, and what option would be best suited to your book.

The session aims to give writers a holistic overview of the publishing landscape, and equip them with enough experience to achieve their personal writing goals.
